The course is at graduate level, organized by the Graduate Schools VLAG and GBB and will take place on 3 - 5 September 2014 in Wageningen, The Netherlands.
Enzymes are used in various industrial processes ranging from the ton scale conversion of starch to the gram scale synthesis of chemical compounds. The enzymes used in these industrial processes need to be robust, cheap and work under varying conditions. This master class will provide detailed information on the basic principles of enzymes, enzyme immobilization and matters relevant to their industrial use. In addition, emerging fields such as use of enzymes in combination with chemical catalysts, enzyme nanoreactors and the use of enzymes in the lab on a chip will be discussed. Also issues relevant to industrial practice such as intellectual property and legislation will be presented.
The final registration date is 21 July 2014. Form more information visit the link below or download the course flyer.
