Interview to Jose Maria Barrasa, from UAH (Spain), PI of the JGI project “Study of the lignocellulolytic machinery in saprobic wood and leaf litter degrading Agaricales”

The Joint Genome Institute (JGI) of the USA Department of Energy has recently approved (September 2014) the project “Study of the lignocellulolytic machinery in saprobic wood and leaf litter degrading Agaricales” leaded by Jose M. Barrasa from the University of Alcalá and Francisco Javier Ruiz-Dueñas from CIB (with participation of several groups from USA and five additional European countries) to sequence the genomes of 16 fungal species of biotechnological interest.
