Lignobiotech IV Symposium aims to bring together the most recent advances on biotechnology and related sciences applied to the use of biomass as renewable raw material. From fundamentals to application, the Symposium will cover genomic, biochemical, technological, downstream processing and environmental issues related to the use of biotechnology for the production of biofuels, chemicals and other products from cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin and other lignocellulose components.
The symposium sessions will take place at the CSIC downtown Campus which constitutes a peaceful place located in the center of Madrid (c/ Serrano 117). This includes historical buildings such as the Central Building (www.csic.es/web/guest/home) and the Residencia de Estudiantes (www.residencia.csic.es/en/info/history.htm).
